(NUEVO) Makena Surf: Maui en la playa

Our family rented a beautiful condo at Makena Surf this past week. The condo has spectacular views and is very well designed, super clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The local service representative ( Jolie ) is very responsive and quickly answered any questions that we had. We have rented many different units throughout Maui over the years and stayed at several of the Maui resort hotels. This particular stay with never ending calming sound of ocean waves , along with the properties lush tropical gardens and vibrant wildlife was by far the BEST. This is the finest private and secure condo that we have ever stayed at. We honestly can't thank Jolie , Brian and the team enough for helping us enjoy Maui in a whole new way. We are really looking forward to our next stay at Makena Surf and Vacation Hospitality! Mark B

We had an amazing time renting here. The unit is well stocked and very chill. The balcony is the real star of the show as you watch the sunrise, sunset, the moon set and the amazing beach all from your super comfy furniture on the huge balcony. There are tons of pool toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkel equipment all for your use. Makena surf is one of the premier properties in all of Maui. The grounds are immaculate and all the staff that work on premise are the best. There are tennis and pickleball courts as well as two of the chillist pools on the island. If you are looking for a party property this is not it. If you are looking to relax in a calm surrounding you have found the right place. You are steps from the best beaches in the world. If you dream about swimming with turtles look no further they are right in front. Tour companies charge an arm and a leg park their boats everyday in front daily for what you get just for staying there. I hope you have a great time like we did. Aloha.

We've been staying at the Makena Surf for about 10 years. This is our second visit in a row to this particular unit; it's definitely become our home away from home on Maui. The unit is spacious and has updated and upgraded features throughout, including the baths and kitchen. Everything is spotless. Much of the furniture was recently replaced and is very comfortable. The mattresses are great, and the linens/towels are high-quality. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal ... or just cut a pineapple! Dishwasher tablets and clothing detergent, paper towels and bathroom tissue are provided, so you really can just show up with a swimsuit and be good to go. Much of the year you can open up the house and let the trade winds through, but on hot days we were super-grateful for the excellent a/c. The views, of course, are even better in person, and having the option of two beaches within a minute's walk is unbeatable. The snorkeling on the rocks right off the beach is unparalleled - most mornings a tour boat or two will pull up off the shore just to get close to what we have access to all day long! The beach is never crowded (at least never since I've been coming here) and it's just perfection. Reservations and check-in were seamless - Jolene is super-responsive to any issues, large or small (though in fairness, we've only had small!). We'll be back next year!!

All and all incredible place, location and everything one could want from a week in Maui. Positive: Location was amazing. Great snorkeling reef, private beach, wonderful pool, tennis, pickleball. Far enough away to feel exclusive but close enough to get to Kihei and shops. Close to world class golf. MAKENA big beach and lava flows just down the road. Chairs, towels, boogie boards Snorkel gear all provided. AC and well provisioned kitchen. We made almost all our meals at the condo which saved us $1,000’s. Negative: The condo itself needs some work and upgrades. BBQ needs to be replaced, several lights out, but generally was fine for me and my family.
