Cabana dos Pequenos

When we arrived, the kitchen cupboards were already full—many items expired. We had to pack it all away before unpacking our own food, and then put it back when we left. Most bedroom bureaus were also packed with linens, blankets, and even sweatpants, leaving no room for our luggage.The waterfront was a major letdown. While we knew the shallow water was weedy and that beach improvements were underway, the condition was worse than expected. The kayaks were covered in sand and looked unused, broken glass lined the shore, and the beach was littered with debris—bottles, Tupperware, and even a floating 2x4 with rusty nails. The swim raft was on land, not in the water, making the area feel neglected and unwelcoming.The house also had issues. A large tear in the screen porch let in many bugs at night. We couldn’t find a dustpan to clean up the insects, and the vacuum had no cord. Many cushions and pillows in the living room and porch were torn or in poor condition.

Awesome private beach and great rustic cabin. Everything was clean and in working order, the kitchen had everything to cook, etc., the laundry was a super feature, and all in all a great place with communicative and helpful management! Would recommend!

This was an amazing rental. Nestled in a quiet rural area off the beaten path, but close to the colleges for graduation. Our family just loved our stay. Unfortunately for us, it rained our whole trip, but was a welcomed chance to slow life down and enjoy the fireplace and good conversation. Our twins graduated from Champlain college and this was an ideal location ,not too far from the expo center where the ceremony was held. The cabin was very clean and well kept for this early season rental. Owners were in constant contact if we needed anything even suggesting fun little restaurants with amazing food like the Spanked Puppy. They had great food- and drinks. Nice property.

Wonderful and unique property. Set in the woods overlooking the lake next to an open pasture with a classic country tennis court and sport court basketball court. Houses nearby off Vermont gravel road. Fun to see others occasionally walking dogs or playing with their kids in sport court but basically it is your private Champlain beautiful cabin in the woods. Great staircase down to Lake -52 pretty easy steps onto lake beach for skimming rocks and playing and kayaks to get out on lake. As advertised waters edge grassy so we swam at nearby Sandbar State Park which has nice sandy bottom and big lake with mountains vistas in every direction. Also nice kids playground at that beach park. If you bike at all don't miss Island Line Bike trail and use ferry to cross lake and order slices of Allenholm Farms flaky fresh from orchard allple pie withaple vanilla ice cream. Also pick up some of their Apple Taffy. Good burgers and burritos too all within a couple easy miles of bike path on South Hero Island.
